3/1 Structural Analysis (1) This course calculates the maximum stress that occur on the cross-section by interpreting the stress status of the section due to axial force, bending moment & shearing force that occurs in the frame of the structure. Also, it equips students with the ability needed in the field by understanding the mechanical behavior necessary for the analysis & design of structures.
Practice of River Engineering This course covers scenic rivers which is essential in river improvement plan such as the river terrain, river sluice inspection, channel planning, river structure, usage of rivers, etc.
Concrete Structure Design This course educates the design concept of the concrete structure & the design method through the application of concrete structure design criteria.
Practice of Civil Construction By providing the social overhead capital which is the driving force of the national economy, building construction technology has built various structures and the construction technologies of overseas is also regarded as the best. Because the design skill, equipment, material & management technology are applied differently in combination depending on the type of facility, the construction skill is recognized as a difficult and complex technology. Thus, this course educates practice such as the economic means of at least the construction operation management as a site manager of the construction site, and systematic construction management due to new processes, new technologies & research development of recent construction equipment.
GPS Surveying & Practice This course educates the principle of satellite positioning system & its positioning methods and increases its applicability at the site as well as that of the ground survey system.

Geotechnical Environmental
Engineering
It is difficult to predict the future of human life because of the recent environmental change of the earth along with the development of industrial technology. Especially, in the aspect of health & happiness of mankind, the environmental pollution from the soil occurs in a cycle, has bad effects to the nature (air, water, soil) and eventually affects the lives of human beings. Thus, this course analyzes the causes of environmental pollution that occurs from the three phases (air, water, soil) and educates the antipollution measure methods as well as suppressing methods by discussing the properties on the soil-related environmental pollution & pollution source (various wastes) that occur in human life.
3/2 Structural Analysis (2) As a continuous course of Structural Analysis (1), students learn basic theory necessary in the analysis & design of statically determinate structures and then acquire the ability to apply the theory in practice.
Hydraulic Design This course covers the techniques for obtaining various hydrometric and material required for the design of civil engineering structures. Also, it covers the interpretation of hydraulic structure, dam & other facilities (weir, spillway, etc.) required for waterpower generation and design methods.
Structural Maintenance Students learn the process of structure maintenance & management which first diagnose & analyze damage or defects in facilities, come up with a measure and accordingly conduct repair, reinforcement work.
Construction Management Construction management refers to the action of solving & adjusting the problems that arise among the builder, designer & contractor to carry out the construction projects during the whole process for promoting construction work. CM is the person who participates dominantly on behalf of the contractor and conducts management in such actions. It is the total system of all modern project management techniques for the purpose of management such as quality, construction savings & construction period of the objects throughout the construction including pre-planning, preliminary design, construction phase, etc. of construction work. The purpose of CM is to minimize the risk related to construction expenses & period and to maximize profits of each participant of construction projects including the contractor by improving quality.
Practice of Geotechnical Design Geotechnical design is the most important professional field in design & construction process. Because the infrastructure becomes a house of cards and a large amount of casualties & economic loss occurs if the sub-grade or basis of the infrastructure such as roads, airports, railways, industry & residential area, etc. is insufficient in design & construction, this course focuses on educating the students to easily adapt to the understanding and practice on construction & geotechnical design.
4/1 Construction Management The rapidly changing flow of knowledge and information has a consciousness of desperate crisis called the survival of construction, and this has naturally emerged as the importance of knowledge assets under the proposition called the value improvement of construction. This course educates the construction management by dividing it into 4 sectors; Core, Concept, Process, Elements.
River Structure Design This course raises the ability to apply the theoretical background studied in structural mechanics course to the interpretation & design of river structure and widens the understanding of the unique mechanical behavior of river structure such as buckling & river joints.
Planning & Design of Water
Resources
This course covers the statistics & water quality compensation of water resources. It also covers the security, development of various water resources such as surface water, groundwater, etc. and structures for their use.
Computerized Structural Design This course studies the interpretation & design of the computerized program-using structure through the practice of the general program.
Practice of
Water & Sewerage
System
According to the seriousness of water pollution and the practice of research, report, design, control, operation & management on the projects & plan covering all the field such as the water supply, sewage disposal, pollution of surface water & groundwater, control, sanitation, public facilities, etc., water & sewerage engineering studies the design of the actual facility & basic theory about the physical, chemical & biological treatment methods & unit operations which are the basis of water (水) treatment. Also, it studies the prevention of deepening environmental pollution, etc. by understanding the concept of self-purification & conservation of river system such as the nature, basic plan, physical treatment, chemical treatment, biological treatment, etc. of wastewater.
Science & Practice
of Digital Terrain
This course enables students to learn skills related to information systems that support various analyses by understanding the principle & interpretation methods of aerial photogrammetry and by establishing ties with topographic information & attribute data.
4/2 Field Training This course enables students to grasp the characteristics of the construction work to acquire systematic & intensive practical knowledge and technology. Also, through various practice & utilization, it cultivates the ability to actively respond to field work.
Route Surveying & Linear Design This course enables students to understand the basic concepts for the route surveying of structures like road & rail, and learns the topographic map-using linear design methods.
Soft &Slope Stability Analysis Recently, with the development of the industry, the development of unstable soft ground & slope for the extension of valid grounds is continuously taking place. Various reinforcement methods are applied since stability should take precedence in such development of soft ground & slope. Therefore, this course studies/analyzes the theory & applied cases of the reinforcement methods for the stability of soft ground & slope and considers the problems. Also, by studying the solutions of the problems that may occur at the site, this course aims to acquire theoretical & practical skills that can prevent destructions of soft ground & slope disasters.

Road Engineering
This course enables students to understand the engineering IT-combined basic concept of roads structure, due to the increasing traffic & enlargement of vehicles along with economic growth, in terms of smooth traffic flow and study road planning, route selection, geometric structure, road stabilization of road basis, pavement design, etc.
Construction Contract & Law The terms of civil construction contract written by the FIDIC based on the international standard are encouraged to use when signing a construction contract. However, the terms of those laws are not taught in most universities. Thus, this course aims to study the contact terms that are generally applied.
